Product Description

CSSG tempered safety glass is obtained by heating ordinary float glass to its softening point (about 700˚C) and then followed by a rapid cooling that results in the glass retaining high compressive stresses in excessive of 10,000 PSI or an edge compression in excess of 9,700 PSI.

CSSG tempered safety glass is a glazing material which tested by TUV-Rheinland that complies with strict international standards such as ANSI 97.1, BS 6206 and AN/NZS 2208.

Product Features

1. Tempered glass is 4 to 6 times stronger than ordinary annealed glass.

2. Reduces the risk of injury due to its nature of breaking into small and circular pieces.

3. Tempered glass has a higher bending strength and is more resistant to impact.

4. Ease of clean-up if they do break.

Applications

1. Furniture and decorations.

2. Vehicles windows.

3. Frameless tempered glass door and shop front.

4. Stair cases and hand rails.

5. Escalator side and escalator panel.

6. Shower enclosure.

Note

1. Tempered safety glass is well balanced in both tension and compression, thus it cannot be cut, sanded or bent. All dimensions and specifications must be determined before processing.

2. Tempered safety glass is not weakened or break easily but may be broken if deep scratches are made with a hard material. In such cases, the glass may not break immediately, but may break after sometime.

3. Ensure that the edges or the surface of the glass are protected to prevent spontaneous breakage caused by nickel sulfide.

4. The force is distributed throughout the surface upon contact and the glass cutlers of tempered glass will not pull out immediately when hit.
