Product Description

Laminated glass is produced by permanently bonding two or more layers of glass together with tough layers of Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) under heat and pressure, to create a single sheet of glass. When broken, the PVB interlayer keeps the layers of the glass bonded and prevent it from breaking apart.

CSSG laminated glass is a safety glazing materials that is tested by TUV-Rheinland that conform to international standards such as ANSI Z-97.1, BS 6206 and AN/NZS 2208.

Note

1. All dimensions and characteristics must be ordered prior to processing to avoid a bad finishing.

2. Avoid placing the glass to temperatures in excess of 70 ˚C for long periods of time. This can cause damage to the film which is an organic material.

3. Avoid applying an organic solvent to the edge because it may damage the butyral film.

4. Avoid exposing the edge of the glass to open air when using it outdoor as the edge may absorb moisture and cause delamination.

5. Two layers of CSSG Laminated safety glass are usually required for buildings and multilayered for bullet proof glass, large aquariums, plane windshield etc.
